Allow Members to Sign Up and Sign In with LinkedIn
To connect your site to LinkedIn, you will need to generate a Client ID and Client Secret in a LinkedIn app, copy these keys into your site settings, and enable the connection.
1. Log into the developer portal
Login to the LinkedIn Developer portal and click My Apps:
2. Create your app
Click Create Application:
3. Complete information about your app
Complete the form.
Enter the following URL in the Website URL field:
https://your-site.socibd.com
Note: replace your-site.socibd.com with your site address!
Click Submit.
4. Check "r_emailaddress" and Enter your callback URL
Enter the following URL in the Authorized Redirect URLs field and click Add:
https://your-site.socibd.com/user/auth/linkedin/callback
Note: replace your-site.socibd.com with your site address!
Click Update.
5. Get your Client ID and Client Secret
On the same page, your Client ID and Client Secret will be displayed:
6. Copy your Client Id and Client Secret into Socibd
In Socibd admin > Members Management > Social Login, and paste Client Id and Client Secret, check "Enable Linkedin", then click "Save" button.
